Printer Paper
Printer paper is a huge sector of the printing industry. There are two things without which you cannot print: ink and paper. If you run out of either, your printer just becomes a lump of useless plastic and metal until you get more. While ink is the more expensive of the two, a printer will go through far more paper than ink in its lifetime.
There are as many kinds of printer paper as there are people who buy it. You can get plain white, but even within the color white, there are more stocks, grades, finishes, and variations than you would think possible. The catch comes in when you try to use the paper with your printer. Some printers will only accept paper of up to a certain thickness.
One type of printer paper you’ll want to have on hand is photo paper. It’s got a different finish than ordinary paper, and it’s a little thicker than normal. If you were to print a picture on normal paper, it would turn out, but it wouldn’t come out in photo quality. For that you’ll need both a high grade color printer, and photo paper to print on. Otherwise the volume of ink that is put out will just bleed, blurring the picture slightly.
